This role focuses on HR Operational Risk, Regulatory Compliance Risk and other applicable risk categories (i.e., Information Technology, Privacy etc.)

Responsibilities

  1. Initiate risk mitigation methodologies required to prudently manage risks; Develop service partnerships with business stakeholders
  2. Group Risk Management in identifying risk-related issues and raising awareness and understanding of risks associated with HR businesses
  3. Led the Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) Program for HR, ensuring RCM policies and standards are met including assessing the regulatory landscape
  4. They risk impacts, understand the control framework and develop solutions to close outstanding program gaps.
  5. Ensure HR compliance with applicable regulatory requirements/legislative changes by representing the function in working groups
  6. Support the privacy risk program for HR to ensure the adequate collection, use, disclosure and non-technical safeguarding of personal information
  7. Lead Information Technology (IT Risk) initiatives for HR ensuring applicable policies and standards are met including programs
  8. Actively support building and expanding data analytics capabilities to enhance risk management.

Qualifications

  1. University degree, or equivalent
  2. Strong knowledge of RBC’s organization, HR business processes, Group Risk Management and Compliance.
  3. Maturity level and skill/judgment to be able to deal effectively with senior leaders within HR.
  4. Strong presentation and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  5. Proven stakeholder relationship management, impact and influence skills
  6. Strong problem-solving, analytical (including qualitative analysis), research, and quantitative skills.
  7. Technologically self-sufficient. Highly proficient in MS Office.

Nice to Have:

  1. Working knowledge of industry Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC) solutions/packages (e.g., Archer, RegComp).
  2. Professional designation (CRISC/ISACA, PRMIA/other Risk Mgmt., Legal or Accounting).
