Job Description

The Revenue Accountant has responsibility for the financial control of revenue contracts for all Japanese operations.

Reporting to the Sr Finance Manager, the Revenue Accountant is part of a small in-house commercial finance team supported by a shared service center. At AVEVA, the commercial finance function fully owns the entity ledgers, accounting, tax, compliance, treasury, and reporting.

Good controllership of revenue at AVEVA means a focus on the accuracy of our data, thorough understanding of our commercial contracts and go-to-market methods, adherence to internal controls, timely reporting of results to the Group, and engagement with the broader Finance Operations team to improve our processes and controls continuously.

Responsibilities

• Keep up to date with Oracle functionality and process updates
• Providing specialized on-ground support for AR collection
• Develop and document revenue processes and controls, identify opportunities for improvement
• Reconciliation between Salesforce and ledgers (FDW) for deals closed and revenue recognized
• Business partnering with Sales function and preparation of Revenue forecast/ budgeting
• Review of forecast revenue against actuals and reporting of variance analysis

Requirements

• Minimum Experience Level: Over 6 years
• Career Level: Mid Career
• Minimum English Level: Business Level
• Minimum Japanese Level: Native
• Minimum Education Level: Bachelor’s Degree
• Visa Status: Permission to work in Japan required

Skills

•  Around 5 years of related experience in accounting/ revenue accounting/ financial analysis.
