Nicole Racing Japan G.K.’s Accounting and Finance Headquarters handles the sales and service of imported luxury cars.

In addition, we will promote systematization, simplify settlement operations, perform financial analysis, and become a key position with high expectations for business partners.  He is expected to play an essential role in supporting decision-making by providing timely feedback on financial information, analysis, and insight information to management in cooperation with the Planning Department within the Accounting and Finance Headquarters.

As the number of employees is expected to expand, I have the heavy responsibility of quickly compiling detailed performance reports and acting as a bridge between the front line and the management team. This position will report directly to the Accounting Manager and Deputy Accounting Manager and will be an essential position in the future as it will involve communication with the CFO, the management team of Nicole Racing Japan LLC, and the management of Penske Corporation, the parent company in the United States. Responsibilities

  • As an acting manager, non-consolidated and consolidated financial statements, tax, etc., monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, dealing with auditing firms (including internal control), and dealing with tax effect accounting. .
  • Appropriate information provision and proposal work for Japanese and US management from an accounting perspective. Simplifying and speeding up the accounting department’s settlement processing with high precision, transforming it into a department that shifts its focus to analysis and advisory services for each brand.
  • Practical procedures specific to consolidated financial statements (e.g., intra-group transaction volume, elimination of credits and liabilities, elimination of investments and capital, etc.) when preparing quarterly and year-end consolidated financial statements.
  • As a 100% subsidiary in the United States, you will lead the knowledge transfer of US-GAAP practical experience.
  • Preparations for the introduction of IFRS and close cooperation with external auditors.
  • Operational management of the financial accounting system. And settlement processing using data generated from multiple sales and inventory management systems.
  • Observance of US accounting policies, business procedure manuals, business flow, RCM operation of accounting processing, and thorough dissemination to related parties.
  • Preparation and reporting of various accounting materials, cooperation with each company and business division (acceleration of settlement of accounts and promotion of business flow).
  • Commenced operation of hard closing and improved accuracy by introducing a workflow for purchases and expenses. Efficient closing schedule.
  • Engage in the operation of the group accounting system, and collaborate with the planning department to improve and streamline business processes.
  • Guidance and training of accounting staff.
  • Supervised cash flow management and promotion of EB/CMS review project.
  • Participated in a cash reduction project for non-cash and a project to study contactless payment methods.
  • Coordination with the accounting system by changing the business system (future).
  • Compliance-related work (internal control knowledge, practical experience, risk assessment, etc.).
  • Accompanied by the planning department manager to provide performance reports and financial training to each site manager.
  • Support monthly analysis of expenses and find points as part of cost-saving projects.
  •  Scrutinize financial data and cooperate with the planning department to use it for each company’s management decisions
  • GAAP reconciliation and reporting of fixed assets, rented, and leased assets.
  • Financial accounting impacts analysis, advice, and approval of new transactions and products to understand assumed financial and corporate risks.

Required Skills

  • – Accounting experience under US-GAAP and J-GAAP or IFRS. GAAP reconciliation knowledge and experience to US-GAAP (fixed assets, lease accounting).
  • 5 years or more of experience in financial accounting (at a level capable of summarizing monthly and annual financial statements)
  • 5 years or more of FP&A experience (preferred)
  • Accounting experience in a US company/multinational company
  • “Large company” or He has experience in accounting work at a “leading company” and was required to move quickly in the market and grow with high-profit margins.
  • Experience in a wide range of accounting work with a small number of people at an “SME” (preferable).
  • Foreign exchange knowledge and experience in foreign exchange contracts (preferably).
  • Legal work (contract advice) (optional).
  • JCPA qualification (preferred treatment), USCPA pass/qualification (preferred).
  • Experience working at an accounting firm (preferred).
  • Practical experience in accounting at a business company.
  • Work experience in the automotive industry (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business.
  • US-SOX, J-SOX knowledge and experience.
  • High professionalism, integrity, good organizational skills, analytical skills, goal-oriented, and commercial awareness.
  • Experience in project management and leadership. Experience in participating in global projects (preferred).
  • Experienced in non-routine tasks such as introducing accounting systems and responding to changes in accounting standards.
  • A self-starter with high communication skills between individual companies, departments, and upper and lower levels.
  • Stable work experience (5-10+ years per company).
  • OBIC7 experience (preferred).
  • MS Office (Beginner Word, Intermediate PowerPoint)
  • MS Office (Intermediate Excel or above (experience in improving work efficiency by making full use of vlookup, pivot table, IF function, etc.).
  • Nationality does not matter, but accounting and taxation of US parent company Business-level English skills and proficiency in Japanese are essential to facilitate smooth work with the team and the Australian internal audit team.
