About The Companys Client

Our client is a global multiple business platform with a long heritage in their respective fields, including but not limited to electronics, semiconductors, automobiles, FMCG, and chemicals. They are now looking to further grow their business by having a global marketing strategy head specializing in the consumer electronics field who can add value on the strategic level.

Job Description

Setting Strategy Definition

  • Be responsible for bringing together crucial information, such as strategic priorities, competitor performance, operational performance, innovations, markets, etc., from various internal and external sources to develop strategic options.
  • Be responsible for spearheading the strategic vision across all fronts of the business.
  • Manage the development of corporate plans by playing a management role in all the planning activities performed by the Group, establishing and reviewing key strategic priorities, and translating them into actionable and tangible plans
  • Alongside the senior strategy management, support the strategic planning process to ensure that this process is timely, focused, and value-adding
  • Ensure that the strategic planning process highlights existing business issues, making certain that the laid-out plans thoughtfully address these issues.

Setting the Strategic Planning Framework

  • Draft and develop the strategic planning framework to implement across the Group
  • Embed strategic planning practice across the Group
  • Consult with senior managers on strategic priorities to ensure appropriate consideration of the Group’s goals

Effective Project and Programme Management

  • Manage the strategic planning process across the Group to ensure key milestones are achieved
  • Co-ordinate Group senior managers to ensure all required information is completed on time and to appropriate standard
  • Liaise with the Group’s Company Secretary to ensure all Board reporting timelines are achieved

Requirements

This individual must be able to thrive in a fast-moving, highly matrixed environment. This individual is a results-oriented, hands-on header able to set a vision to drive change internally and develop and implement complex projects. This individual must have a “can do” and positive attitude and be passionate about selling a vision to senior executives.

  • Experience in working and reporting to Boards and Committees
  • At least 12 years of working experience in a corporate strategy position within a fast-paced business environment.
  • Solid background and knowledge of Consumer Electronics and a great understanding of entire electronics value chain is a big plus.
  • The consulting firm background will be a value-added experience.
  • Proven track record of interacting with Senior Management in a highly sensitive and collaborative to agree with the Group’s strategic direction.
  • Proven ability to convey information and instructions will determine the effectiveness with which strategies are executed across the Group.
  • Experience in building appropriate and effective networks, locally and Group-wide, for the benefit of our communities
  • Excellent communication skills for delivering regular reports for the business’s management leadership must be easily digestible, unambiguous, engaging, informative, and convincing.
  • Demonstrate ability to perform standard analyses such as performance, competitive, market, etc.
  • Extensive experience in the development and implementation of policy, coaching and managing employees
  • Evidence of success in a results-driven environment
  • Strong presentational and influencing skills
  • Track record of successfully delivering change
