The Opportunity

The copywriter is responsible for developing all the written work, including headlines and body copy for all areas of marketing, ensuring the tone and content is in-line with Crown brand guidelines both strategically and legally.

The copywriter is responsible for developing templates and guidelines for the various copy outputs. The daily copy requirements are varied from social postings, EDM’s, DM’s, letters, and brochures and therefore, the copywriter has to have the ability to work across media outputs.

The Crown Studio is a fast-paced environment – high volume and tight turnaround projects requiring time management and decision-making skills to meet challenging deadlines.

Some responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:

1. Interpret briefs received from Brand and Studio inputs and translate them into creative communication through brochures, ads, invitations, promotions, signage, direct mail pieces and other marketing collateral.
2. Adapt creative copy concepts for the rollout of brand-aligned marketing collateral.
3. Ability to create copy for EDM, social networks and website updates. The ability to write radio scripts and understand timing.
4. Ensure that Crown brand guidelines are adhered to within creative development.

To be successful, you will need:

• An appropriate degree in arts, journalism, advertising or marketing.
• Minimum of 5 years of industry experience.
• In-house studio or agency experience.
• Experienced in all forms of writing development, social, documents, and advertising.
• Branding experience and working with style guides.
• Strong understanding of what is effective social media communication.
• The ability to work on a wide range of BTL and ATL print and digital collateral.
